SEPTEMBER 10, 8:30 A.M. TEXT

THIS IS MATTHEW AND I’M ON CAM’S CREW. CAM’S WORDS TODAY…

I REALLY, REALLY HOPE YOU ARE BACK WITH US TONIGHT.  I REALLY, DO. THE FIRST NEWS STORY I HEARD THIS MORNING SHOCK ME TO MY VERY  CORE.  ELEVEN EDMONTONIANS. ELEVEN PEOPLE. MAYBE A NEIGHBOR. A FRIEND. A CO-WORKER. THAT’S ELEVEN PEOPLE TOO MANY. ELEVEN PEOPLE, EVERY DAY IN EDMONTON, EVERY DAY, COMMIT SUICIDE. ELEVEN LIVES LOST. ELEVEN PEOPLE WHO MAY FEEL THEY ARE AT THE END. ELEVEN PEOPLE WHOSE DREAMS, WHOSE POTENTIAL, WHOSE FUTURE WILL NEVER BE REALIZED. AND, WE MUST FACE THIS RIGHT IN THE EYE WITH COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING.  ASKING FOR HELP CAN BE ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS WE EVER DO. BUT, IT CAN BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS WE EVER DO.  IF YOU’RE FEELING LOST, AND NOT VALUED, PLEASE KNOW YOU ARE IMPORTANT. YOU ARE VERY VALUED.  HELP IS OUT THERE. IN EDMONTON THE DISTRESS LINE NUMBER IS 780-482-4357 I ENCOURAGE YOU WITH ALL MY MIGHT TO CALL.  YOU’RE NEEDED. YOU’RE LOVED. YOU HAVE SO MUCH AHEAD OF YOU. LET’S TAKE ONE HOUR, ONE MINUTE, ONE SECOND AT A TIME. AND, MY FRIEND, THIS EVENING, I’M GOING TO SHARE A WONDERFUL STORY ABOUT MY FRIENDS CHRIS, MATT AND JACK. I REALLY HOPE YOU’LL BE HERE TO HEAR IT.

I AM A COMPUTER GENERATED VOICE WITH CAM’S WORDS AND I’M ON THE CREW.
