108 words on Ellen and Dave

The multi-talented writer, actor, producer and director Alan Alda said in an interview “If you can make your audience laugh and cry in the same minute, you’re doing something right.” David Letterman and Ellen Degeneres do exactly that — and more — in Letterman’s Netflix series, MY NEXT GUEST NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION. Both comedians shared their great wit. Although Letterman is highly revered as a gifted comedian, his interviewed skills shone in asking Degeneres tough, poignant questions. Watch his facial expressions — something  his ever-growing beard can’t hide — as he listens so very intently: inviting his audience to do likewise. If you haven’t watched the interview, please do so.

It’s television. At its very best
