It was the Thursday before Good Friday in 1972 when I said farewell to my first girlfriend Cathy. In fact, she was the first girl I kissed, way back then Grade  7.

Cathy had ad curvature of the spine and attended Glenrose School Hospital with me. But, after her operation, she left Glenrose to return to her junior high. I was sad. I was riding on my parents’ car, heading east, over 120 Street and 107 Avenue when this song came over 630 CHED.

And we have, over all these years: Cathy phoned me Wednesday before heading to Europe with her two daughters.
