Good morning. And what a beautiful morning in the Edmonton area. I’ve already had my eggs — poached extra hard, the way my mother cooked them back in northern Michigan. Now, it’s off to my favourite few hours of the week.

Sunday morning at church.

Sure, we as gather as Christians to worship and learn more about our Lord. But we also come as brothers and sisters in Christ and shake hands, and hug, and ask how the week was. Church families come together, too, to love and support one another in a variety of ways.

Weddings. Funerals. Baptisms. But also helping out with home renos, work projects and meeting for coffee just to say hi.

Oh, look at the time. I have to find Grandma Anderson and pay the bill. Church awaits.

God bless you, and your day.
